BMW E46 M3 (S54B32) differential bushing replacement - DIY approach

Tools needed:

• Hydraulic jack and stands
• Torque wrench
• Bushing removal/installation tool
• Various sockets and wrenches

Replacement procedure:

• Safely lift and support the rear of the car
• Remove rear wheels
• Disconnect driveshaft from differential
• Support differential and remove mounting bolts
• Lower differential slightly to access bushings
• Remove old bushings using appropriate tool
• Install new bushings (consider polyurethane for improved performance)
• Reassemble in reverse order

Torque specifications:

• Differential mount to subframe: 127 Nm
• Driveshaft to differential flange: 64 Nm

Note: Proper alignment is crucial. Take care not to damage the differential housing during the process.
