The one-off vehicle commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Need for Speed series is a significant piece of automotive history, being the 2001 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) championship-winning race car. This race car, part of the iconic Audi R8 lineage, features a robust 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which delivers an impressive power output of approximately 600 horsepower at a peak torque of around 750 Nm. Its lightweight construction, utilizing a full-carbon fiber monocoque chassis, allows the vehicle to achieve a power-to-weight ratio that enhances its track performance.

In terms of technical specifications, the Audi R8's aerodynamic efficiency is notable, with a drag coefficient of 0.75 and extensive use of downforce-generating components including a flat underbody and adjustable rear wing. The vehicle utilizes a six-speed manual transmission with a sequential gearbox allowing for rapid gear changes, combined with an all-wheel-drive system that enhances traction and stability during high-speed maneuvers. Additionally, the car features advanced race-tuned suspension systems and carbon-ceramic brakes, providing superior handling characteristics essential for endurance racing.
